The teachers were amazed by his understanding and answers 2:47
Jewish boys were well educated
New Years Resolution:
- Read more books
- Take a class
- Keep up on current events
- Manage money better
- Be wiser with time
- Etc, etc, etc…

It takes more than JUST growing in wisdom though

II JESUS GREW IN STATURE
Eating healthy
Exercising
Walking (everywhere)
Working (carpentry)
Our body is a temple of the Holy Spirit. Our body is a gift from God.
Nailing a piece of wood as a carpenter was just as much part of God’s plan as being nailed to a piece of wood later on in life. God planned it all.
Hard work and dedication came before the fall
New Year’s Resolutions
- Diet
- Work out
- Exercise
- Go for walks

It’s more than JUST growing in stature
- Samson

III JESUS GREW IN FAVOR WITH GOD
Learned the Scriptures
- at temptation he quoted 3 Scriptures from Deut.
Learned to pray
-Gethsemene, withdrew to pray
At baptism, Jesus was already favored
He hadn’t done anything big yet that we know of or need to know of
New Year’s Resolutions
- Pray more
- Read Scripture more
- Tell more people about Jesus

It’s more than JUST growing in favor with God

IV JESUS GREW IN FAVOR WITH MEN
Friend of sinners
People flocked to Jesus
Didn’t mean everybody liked him…those who were jealous or afraid didn’t like him.
New Year’s Resolutions
- Going to be nicer to my family
- Make new friends
- Give more to charity, help more

It’s all 4:
INTELLECTUALLY
PHYSICALLY
SPIRITUALLY
SOCIALLY
