#2 FREEDOM IS FLEETING
Brighton, PA- Zoning laws keep churches from building, but don’t stop other projects
El Cajon, CA- VBS not allowed to advertise while other events can
Canada- Preachers unsure of their rights to preach against homosexuality and abortion
Someday, we could lose our freedom to worship in public
This could be your last year here

#3 FAITH IS A FIGHT
Is being a Christian hard or easy?
It’s just saying yes to God and no to sin and Satan
But sometimes those yes’s and no’s are very difficult
1 Timothy 6:11-12
I want to be able to say what Paul said in 2 Timothy 4:7
We don’t know what this year has in store?
Is your faith strong enough to make it through?
If not, this could be your last year here

#4 FLESH IS FAILING
Genesis 5…what is the recurring phrase? ‘And then he died’
The human death rate? 1:1…one per person
150,000 died unexpectedly in SE Asia last week
We simply don’t know the when of our death
2 Corinthians 6:2…’Now is the day of salvation’
Some don’t like ‘Fire and Brimstone preaching’
But death IS real. Eternity separated from God IS scary.
Are you ready to die?

#5 CHRIST IS COMING
Daniel 9:24-25- The Father was right about the first coming of the Son
Acts 1- The Son was right about the coming of the Spirit
Philippians 3:20- The Son is coming again
That day will come like a thief, but only to those unprepared
This could be your last year here

Every moment in life is a precious gift from God. Let’s not take time for granted.
Let’s not forget our foundations and leave our first love
Let’s be ready to keep being Christians no matter the law
Let’s fight the good fight of faith
Let’s be prepared for death while we have time
Let’s be ready for the coming of Christ

Time is a responsibility, not a right
2005 is a gift, not a guarantee
This could be your last year here
