I’ve Got Good News
It seems like the world is full of BAD news
Everyone tries to find hope
1. Some put their hope in PEOPLE (parents, preachers)
2. Some put their hope in POLITICS (american, republican, democrat)
3. Some put their hope in PAYCHECKS (employment)
But all these kingdoms fall
Thankfully, I’ve got good news for you this morning. I know a person who will never disappoint you. I know a leader who is pure and honest. I know the kind of treasure that never deteriorates.
I’ve got good news, at it isn’t about car insurance!
Jesus came with GOOD News
The Gospel is the good news of God’s…
1. KINGDOM (Mark 1:15)
Good news. The Kingdom is NOW!
It’s a different kind of kingdom (Daniel 2:44)
It had been forcefully advancing (Matthew 11:12-13)
The time CAME when Jesus came (Mark 1:15)
You didn’t join an army, you repented and believed
The kingdom parables are about NOW, not LATER
To be part of the kingdom, you make Christ your King
People will notice your allegiance
2. JOY (Luke 2:10)
Good news. We can have JOY!
It’s GOOD news, be JOYFUL
Happiness comes and goes, but joy remains
It remains b/c it is based on LOVE (john 15:9-11)
People will notice your joy
3. SALVATION (Ephesians 1:13)
Earthly kingdoms try to save your body
God’s kingdom saves your soul
Aim for heaven, get both, aim for earth, miss both
You can know that you know that you know (1 John 3:11-24)
We know based on the love God puts in our hearts
Would I be ‘good’ w/o being a Christian?
Yes, but I wouldn’t love my enemies
People will notice love
4. PEACE (Ephesians 6:15)
Good news! We don’t have to worry or fear
Even when the world’s at war around us (Acts 16:25)
Even when our circumstances stink
We can rest assured
People will notice peace in the midst of a storm
5. GRACE (Acts 20:24)
Good news! Admission is free!
People tried to add things to the gospel (Galatians 1:6)
But we shouldn’t demand something un-essential
It’s harder to get into the wesleyan church than the true church
People will notice graciousness
6. ETERNALITY (Revelation 14:6)
Good news! This good news won’t end!
It won’t end b/c God won’t end or change
Kingdoms of this world come crashing down
People will notice your perspective
No wonder Paul wasn’t ashamed of the Gospel!!!!!
Where is your hope today? America? The Republicans? Your Job? Your church? Your money? Your denomination? Your education?

"The time has come," he said. "The kingdom of God is near. Repent and believe the good news!" (Mark 1:15)
The Gospel of God’s Joy
"Do not be afraid. I bring you good news of great joy that will be for all the people” (Luke 2:10)
The Gospel of God’s Salvation
And you also were included in Christ when you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation (Ephesians. 1:13a)
The Gospel of God’s Peace
and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace (Ephesians 6:15)
The Gospel of God’s Grace
if only I may finish the race and complete the task the Lord Jesus has given me—the task of testifying to the gospel of God's grace (Acts 20:24)
The Gospel of God’s Eternality
Then I saw another angel flying in midair, and he had the eternal gospel to proclaim to those who live on the earth (Revelation 14:6)
