Premillennialism: Dispensational vs. Historical
“The world is getting worse and worse until Christ comes”
1. Satan is alive and well on planet earth, but will be bound when Christ returns.
2. The 1000 years is a literal period where Christ will reign from Jerusalem over His Kingdom.
3. At the end of the 1000 years, Satan will be let loose for a short time before the judgment day.
4. The new heavens & earth will be created after the millennium

Amillennialism: Heavenly vs. Earthly
“The world gets better and worse in cycles until Christ comes”
1. Satan is defeated and chained to the Abyss, this was accomplished at the cross.
2. The 1000 years is symbolic of a long period corresponding to the church age.
3. At the end of the church age, satan will be let loose for a short time
4. The new heavens & earth will be created after Judgment Day.

Postmillennialism: Revival vs. Government
“The world will get better and better before Christ comes”
1. Some agree with amillennialists that satan was bound by the cross. Others see his binding as a future event caused by the victory of the church.
2. The 1000 years may or may not be literal, but will be a glorious age prior to the 2nd coming.
3. At the end of the glorious church age, satan will be loosed and make one final attempt at victory, but will fail miserably.
4. After satan’s final failure, Christ will return to conduct Judgment Day

2nd Resurrection= (Revelation 20:12-13)
