Luke 4:38-39
1. What are synagogues?
--They were very much like public lecture halls
2. What did Jesus’ healing ministry show the Israelites?
--That he was a possible 'messiah'
3. Why do people get sick in God’s world?
--John 9:1-3. People get sick because of the fall, but God can use sickness for good
4. What should our response be to Jesus’ work in our lives?
--See Luke 17:11-19

Luke 4:40-41
1. Do you think we should see the same success rate when it comes to physical healing today?
--Very debated question. I think at certain points in history God's miracles are more abundently seen. This may account for the supposed decreaes in miracles today. Of course, our supposed lack of faith could have something to do with it as well.
2. Did the demon world understand who Jesus was?
--Oh yes
3. Why didn’t Jesus want the demons to admit He was the Son of God and the Christ?
--It seems Jesus rejects testimony from bad sources. Additionally, the timing may not have been right.

Luke 4:42-44
1. Why did Jesus often look for solitary places?
--He needed time alone with God & time with self
2. What does that say about our need for personal time?
--It shows that we definitely need this quiet time. We're 'too busy not to pray'
3. Did Jesus allow any 1 person or town to monopolize his ministry?
--Nope
4. What is the Kingdom of God?
--The kingdom of God is spiritual community of believers
5. What was Jesus’ purpose?
--To preach the arrival of the kingdom
6. Did Jesus fulfill His purpose?
--Yes, the kingdom has been growing ever since
