Why did John send disciples and not go himself?
--He was in prison (matthew 11:2)
Why was John questioning Jesus’ identity?
--How could he still have doubts at this point? I think it just shows the human tendancy to doubt. Jesus wasn't proceeding as anticipated.
Why did Jesus answer the question the way He did?
--He was referring to messianic prophecies
What is meant by verse 23?
--Jesus is the stone that makes men stumble, the rock that makes men fall

--Preparing the way for the Lord

--Our hearts always need prepared (prevenient grace)
Why was John called the greatest born of a woman?
--Actually, he was probably called the greatest 'prophet' (kjv) in that he was closest to the kingdom
Why was John called least in the kingdom?
--Because he didn't get to see the kingdom
Why were the people divided in this way?
--Some want God to move, some want to try to move God

--He was demon possessed

--Glutton & drunkard
