Why do you think the Pharisee invited Jesus to dinner?
1. He probably wanted to be seen with Jesus
2. He wanted to decide if Jesus was a Prophet

Why did the sinful woman act this way toward Jesus?
1. She probably had heard Jesus’ message
2. She was responding to good news with service

The Pharisee made 2 assumptions about prophets:

2. Prophets would not associate with sinners
