#1 What advantage, then, is there in being a Jew
1. They have been entrusted with the words of God
2. Theirs is the adoptions as sons
3. Theirs is the divine glory
4. Theirs are the covenants
5. Theirs is the receiving of the law
6. Theirs is the temple worship
7. Theirs are the promises
8. Theirs are the patriarchs
9. From them is traced the human ancestry of Christ
#2 What if some did not have faith?
Will their lack of faith nullify God’s faithfulness?
1. Some Jews did not have faith, did not keep the covenant
2. God will continue to keep His part of the Covenant
3. Their unfaithfulness brings God’s faithfulness to light
#3 Is God unjust in bringing His wrath on us (Jews)?
1. Some may argue that if bad produces good, it isn’t punishable
2. Paul was falsely accused of making that argument
3. That argument and/or those who make it deserve condemnation
#4 Are we (Jews) any better?
1. The Jews weren’t given advantages because they were better
2. The Jews weren’t better because they had been given advantages
3. Jews & Gentiles are alike under sin, the problem is worldwide
4. The law speaks against Jews
5. Nobody will be declared righteous through the law
6. The law simply makes us aware of our sin
