Romans 9-11 (Gentiles)
What are we to think as Gentiles?
Romans 9-11
1. God’s family is not based on genetics
2. God’s family is based on the promise
3. God has a plan of patience
4. God has a plan to save surprisingly many
5. One enters God’s family by faith in the risen Lord
6. God’s family has been given a great mission
7. Future family members are waiting to hear the Gospel
8. God’s family is like an olive tree
9. God is the root
10. Natural Israelites were the original branches,
but many were broken off due to unbelief
11. Gentiles were wild (foreign) branches, but many Gentiles were grafted in among the remnant Jews because of faith
12. The new (grafted-in) branches should not boast over the broken-off branches, but must remember that they depend on the root (God)
13. The new branches can be broken off
if they do not continue in faith
14. The original branches can be grafted back in
if they believe again
15. We should strive to have God’s heart
for Israel and the nations
