How do we ACCESS justifying grace?
By FAITH, not WORKS
By FEAR, not PEACE (Fear of God and a sense of sinfulness)
Acts 13:38-39a
Therefore, my brothers, I want you to know that through Jesus the forgiveness of sins is proclaimed to you. Through him everyone who believes is justified
Romans 10:9-10
If you confess with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved.
How do we RESPOND to justifying grace?
With PEACE, not FEAR
With WORKS, not FAITH (Works of faith, not empty belief)
Romans 5:1
Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ,
James 2:26
As the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without deeds is dead.
