Definition:
This is the belief that we have nothing to repent of.
Last Week Sin is ever-present! Saved
This week Sin is never-present! Unsaved
Who in the world would claim to be without sin?
1) Christians proclaiming holiness
2) Heretics denying the flesh counts
3) Pagans denying a standard
If we claim to be without sin (8+10)…
1) We deceive ourselves
2) The truth is not in us
3) We make God out to be a liar
4) God’s word has no place in our lives
If we confess our sins (9)…
1) He is faithful and just and will forgive our sins
2) He will purify us from all unrighteousness
What’s the purpose of these categories? (2:1)
Did Jesus die for everyone or just the saved? (2:2)
