* In our passage, the message is that we may be confident in our prayers when we ask for good gifts. It is interesting that Luke replaces the words ‘good gifts’ with the ‘Holy Spirit.’ He may be indicating that the best answer to prayer is always God’s presence

“So in everything, do to others
what you would have them do to you,
for this sums up the Law and the Prophets.”
