Death Threats (Upside Down Takeover)
The Synoptic Gospels all record 3 separate occasions in which Jesus predicted the Passion. He highlighted the following features:
1. Location of Jerusalem
2. Betrayal
3. Attacking Authorities
4. Suffering & Death
5. Resurrection on 3rd Day
Request to Rule (Upside Down Leadership)
The Sons of Zebedee wanted to be in positions of power in Jesus’ coming Kingdom. Jesus used the request as an opportunity to teach them about true greatness.
Blind Beggers (Upside Down Followers)
While the disciples were blind to Jesus’ mission and wanted special treatment, these two blind men simply wanted to see and were willing to follow Jesus anywhere
